The Town of Burlington seeks qualified applicants for the position of Operations Analyst. Working under the direction of the Director of Public Works, the Operations Analyst performs analytical, technical, operational, and administrative work in assisting the DPW Director in a variety of management and financial activities and projects such as budgeting, capital improvement projects, monitoring departmental compliance with policies, tracking and managing Town utilities and energy controls and water conservation measures, serving as Safety Committee Chair, and assisting in developing and improving public works operations.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in management, business, public administration, finance, engineering, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred. Three to five years of responsible municipal experience required including budgeting, finance, and personnel management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be conversant and knowledgeable of DPW practices and procedures, have working knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and procurement, excellent administrative, management, organizational, communication and customer service skills, as well as ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Valid driver’s license required.
Starting hourly rate at Grade 12, Step I of the Administrative & Professional compensation plan is $1,212.43 per week.
