Locksmith / Maintenance Worker

Location: Town of Burlington
The Burlington Public School Department is seeking a qualified candidate to join our maintenance team.
Examples of work include:
  • Operates specialized key cutting equipment
  • Repairs and reconstructs various locksets
  • Creates and maintains records
  • Maintains interior and exterior doors, smoke alarms, closers, and magnet locks
  • Collaborates with members of the department on a variety of general maintenance jobs
  • Works throughout six school buildings district-wide
  • Performs general maintenance work and other projects assigned to the facilities team
  • Performs related work
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and 3-5 years of locksmith experience
  • Ability to work with various lock and key systems
  • Working knowledge of the materials and methods used in building maintenance
  • Skilled in the use of power and hand tools
  • Skilled in maintenance work
  • Mechanically inclined and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Must be responsible. reliable, and able to work without supervision
Salary range is $55,000 - $75,000 depending upon qualification, plus benefits. This is a full-time position, 40-hours per week.
