Club Simonds Director

Location: Town of Burlington
Club Simonds is a day program (Monday - Friday) for children in grades K-4.  The program runs for 7 weeks throughout summer break, plus planning and orientation.  On a weekly basis, Club Simonds will see enrollment between 60-100 participants.  The director is also responsible for supervising 12 staff members and numerous volunteers.

Responsibilities:
  • Create curriculum and programming for Club Simonds and early drop-off program
  • Supervise, direct and evaluate staff and volunteers
  • Interview volunteer applicants and create schedule
  • Inventory and maintain equipment and supplies, order supplies and equipment when needed
  • Maintain records such as accident reports, disciplinary worksheets, volunteer hours, payroll, etc.
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience creating curriculums and/or program plans
  • Supervising experience is preferred
  • Ideal candidate will have impeccable judgment, common sense and problem solving skills
  • Must be First Aid/CPR certified or possess the ability to obtain certification
Please note:  MA General Laws mandate that any individual having direct contact at any time with either children or senior citizens be subject to CORI screening by the Criminal History Systems Board.  Any conditional offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory CORI results.
