Department Assistant - part time, temporary
Reporting to the Town Accountant, this part-time position is responsible for providing financial and clerical support for activities related to CARES/FEMA/ARPA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing applications
- Preparing reimbursement requests
- Preparing documentation for audits
- Reconciling payments
The successful candidate must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite of programs and accounting/financial software. High school diploma required, Associates Degree preferred, along with 1-2 years of related experience. Accounting/Bookkeeping background preferred. Must have excellent financial, organizational, and communications skills. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Rate of pay is $21.59/hour for a maximum of 19 hours per week. This is a grant funded position and is anticipated to continue through September 30, 2021.
