Substitute Van Driver

Burlington, MA
Reporting to the Council on Aging Director, this position's primary responsibility is driving a 10-passenger van to transport seniors to appointments, shopping facilities and other locations within Burlington.  Occasionally will assist seniors into van using wheelchair lift.
Minimum Qualifications: 
High School diploma or equivalent; experience in light truck delivery service or passenger transport desirable.  Possession of a valid driver's license required, as well as general knowledge of the Town street system.  Must have a good driving record.

Must be available as needed during the hours of 9:00am to 3:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 9:00am-5:30pm on Wednesdays, and 9:00am-1:00pm on Fridays.  Rate of pay is $17.65 per hour.

Position will remain open until filled.

Please note:  MA General Laws mandate that any individual having direct contact at any time with either children or senior citizens be subject to CORI screening by the Criminal History Systems Board. Any conditional offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory background check.
