Bilingual Family Therapist / Clinical Social Worker

The Town of Burlington seeks applicants fluent in Spanish to perform clinical and administrative work for Burlington Youth & Family Services (BYFS), a Town department responsible for providing mental health and social services to families with adolescents and young adults. BYFS also provides information and referral services for all residents regardless of age.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Provide family, individual; couple and group therapy for community adolescents and their families, under the direction of the Executive Director
Conduct intake assessments
Provide crisis intervention and information referral services
Interface with Town and community agencies
Clinical services will be provided at BYFS and in the Burlington Schools grades Pre-K through 12. School based work includes brief crisis intervention, short-term school-based interventions, tier 2 group work, prevention efforts, and consultation with families and guardians, as well as, coordinating with outside services to ensure the student is adequately supported and monitored in school. The candidate will collaborate with School Administration and Counseling and Support Teams to address student’s social emotional and mental health needs.
Minimum qualifications include
Licensed Masters Level Clinician
Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
Experience in adolescent family, individual, couple, and group therapy
Training in Systematic Family Therapy as well as trauma and/or substance abuse treatment a plus
This is a non-union position. Salary is within Grade 10, of the Administrative & Professional Compensation Plan, offering annual increases via step system. Pay range starts at $61,957 with the opportunity to advance to a max rate of $84,480 (effective 7/1/2023). Starting rate is competitive and dependent upon experience, and includes comprehensive and generous benefits.
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) over a 4-day workweek to include two (2) evenings.
Position is available immediately and will extend for a maximum of 2 ½ years subject to grant funding.
