This position is a full time 40 hours per week union position within the Burlington Municipal Employees Association bargaining unit. Salary range at Grade 9A, of the BMEA contract, offering annual increases via step system. pay starts at $38.72/hour, with comprehensive and generous benefits.

Lead Working Foreman, Recreation Maintenance

Reporting to the Superintendent of Recreation Maintenance, the Lead Working Foreman will be responsible to perform supervisory, coordinating, and manual work related to the operation of recreational site maintenance.
Examples of work include:
- In conjunction with the Superintendent of Recreation Maintenance, supervises division employees and seasonal employees. Supervises and monitors outside contractors.
- Assists with identifying, planning, coordinating, and scheduling staff and equipment.
- Orders equipment and parts; maintains supplies.
- Oversees and assigns maintenance and repair tasks, and grounds maintenance tasks. Assists if necessary.
- Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment.
- Conducts regular inspections of work; maintains safe working conditions
- Assists in managing a maintenance and repair schedule.
- Assists in the preparation of reports, budgets and RFPs.
- Performs related duties as required.
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Basic computer skills
- Minimum of Five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience, two (2) of which should be in facilities or park maintenance, and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License, MA Hoisting Engineers License, and Certified Pool Operator License. Certified Playground Safety Inspector preferred.
- Supervisory and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good public relations and maintain good public relations
