Working Foreman, Recreation Maintenance

Reporting to the Superintendent of Recreation Maintenance, the Working Foreman will be responsible to perform supervisory and manual work related to the operation of recreational site maintenance. Examples of work include:

• Assist in the assignment of daily tasks. 
• Assigns and supervises the operation, maintenance and repair of all types of departmental equipment. 
• Performs all types of recreation maintenance tasks. 
• Order equipment, parts, and  maintains supplies
• Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment.  
• Conducts regular inspections of work; maintains safe working conditions.
• Assists in managing a maintenance and repair schedule. 
• Assists in prepares regular reports, budgets, and RFPs. 
• Performs related duties as required.

Minimum qualifications include

• High School diploma or equivalent, Basic computer skills 
• Minimum of 3 year of progressively responsible related experience, including 1 year in supervisory capacity.  
• Valid Class B CDL, MA Hoisting Engineer’s License, and Certified Pool Operator License
• Certified Playground Safety Inspector preferred 
• Supervisory and organizational skills
• Ability to Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good public relations 

Pay starts at $36.81/hour This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, and includes comprehensive & generous benefits.
