Recording Clerk - Board of Health

The Town is seeking an immediate part-time Recording Clerk to assist the Board of Health. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning about Town government. 
 
As a Recording Clerk, your responsibilities include:
  • Record meeting minutes and submitting them to Chair
  • Posting meeting notices
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned
Minimum qualifications include:
  • Excellent grammar and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend discussions and accurately summarize information in written form
  • Proficiency with word processing and email
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently
  • Interest in municipal government is beneficial but not necessary
  • Willingness and ability to become familiar with the Commonwealth of MA Open Meeting Law
The Board of Health meets at 7:00pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, with the exception of June through August, when the Board meets on the 4th Tuesday of those months

Meeting usually run between 30 minutes to 1 hour

The elected Board meets in person, however, the Recording Clerk may attend meetings remotely

Hourly rate is $25.09 per hour. This position does not participate in the Town’s benefits program
